Would there really be any other? Honestly though, it surpassed all of the hype.

Ewan Mcgregor and Christian Bale. That alone should be reason for you to see it. But it gets better. Velvet Goldmine is a movie about glam rock popstar Brian Slade (played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers), who happens to be loosely based on David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust phase. Ewan Mcgregor plays Curt Wilde, who is loosely based on Iggy Pop. The movie is a total mindfuck of inspiration. It's got an amazing soundtrack and did I mention that Ewan McGregor and Christian Bale totally go at it in this. Hot. The movie also stars Toni Collette and Edie Izzard.

Here's the most amazing thing ever on the planet.

Fuck the remake. Don't get me wrong, as a fan of musicals, I loved the Broadway show. But the travesty that is John Travolta and Zac Efron and the fact that I'm sort of a hipster and despise the over commercialization of my indie faves makes me hate the remake, despite not having ever watched it. I know, I'm an idiot. But I'm ok with that. So if you "love" the remake, do yourself a favor and watch the original. It's a mother fucking classic.

Horror movies all weekend for me. Have a good weekend!

Trainspotting is one of the best movies ever, in my opinion. I know, I say that about a lot of movies, but it really is. Not only is the movie itself amazing, but the soundtrack is phenomenal. And I'm very surprised a lot of people haven't seen it. Sigh. Watch it, trust me, it's good. Just don't watch it while you're eating anything. Especially chocolate pudding.

I really want to see Kung Fu Panda. I'm not a Jack Black fan, but it looks really cute.

Before there was Chuck Bass, there was Sebastian Valmont. Cruel Intentions is one of my favorite movies, and not because you get Ryan Phillipe shows his (great) ass, but because it's an actually good interpretation of Les Liaisons Dangereuses. I can't believe the movie came out almost ten years ago. I re-watched it this weekend and I would still totally wear most of Sarah Michelle Gellar's (Kathryn) outfits.
