The Golden Compass took the top spot at the box office this weekend, followed by Enchanted, This Christmas, Fred Clause and Beowulf. Even though The Golden Compass came in at #1, they're calling it a flop because it was estimated to make around $40-$50 million opening this weekend, and it only did $26. I say screw the numbers, what do the people think about it? I haven't seen it yet but it looks interesting.
