The cause of death for Daniel Smith has been revealed to be a lethal combination of methadone, the drug which is used to suppress symptoms caused by heroine and other opiate withdrawals, and two anti-depressants, Zoloft and Lexapro. The combination of the drugs can kill someone within five hours.
The coroner testified in court on Monday that other drugs were found in his system, two of which were used by the hospital in the Bahamas to try and revive him.
How sad is that whole story? I'm not a medical expert or anything, but is it usual for people to be prescribed that combination, knowing it could be deaadly?
